Denver Gem and Mineral Show - Orphan Boy Talk

I was very excited to be able to give a talk about my newly published book, The Orphan Boy, A Love Affair with Mining. This book connects three generations and details the story of one of the Greatest Generation reopening a small mine in the central Colorado Rocky Mountains west of Denver, Colorado.

It includes mining, history and geology and tells the dynamic history of building a nation and a global superpower after a world wide war - World War II. This small mine was one of many across the mineral districts of the Western United States that gave America the resources to rebuild the world after that war. It typlifies the story of the Greatest Generation.
