This book tells the story of a man’s “love affair with mining” and the development of one small mine in the central Colorado Rocky Mountains. The Orphan Boy Mine started in the 1880’s when the state of Colorado was young. The author’s father, Herbert T. Young, reopened the mine after World War II.

Included is a DVD with many maps, historic mining documents, photographs and reports about this mine and its history.
